Text Box: El Paso Native Reptile Rescue (EPNRR) is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the safe relocation of native Chihuahuan reptile species back to their environment. EPNRR is also dedicated to enriching the community of El Paso and surrounding areas by public outreach through education. Topics include “Urban Ecology”, Safe Venomous Snake Handling Techniques (to professional organizations only), Snake Identification Classes, and even Ecological Ethics. We perform these services free of charge to the community. Organizations that have already taken advantage of these opportunities include El Paso Animal Control, Franklin Mountain State Park, Hueco Tanks State Park, El Paso County Lower Valley Water District, and Santa Teresa Middle School. If you have enjoyed this website after looking it over, please bookmark it to your favorites and tell a friend. Remember, all the organizations listed in this site are constantly looking for new volunteers. Contact them and find out which niche you can fill. We sincerely thank you for your interest…. IF YOU HAVE COME TO THIS WEBSITE BECAUSE YOU HAVE A RATTLESNAKE ON YOUR PROPERTY, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
KEEP THE SNAKE IN VIEW IF POSSIBLE.
CALL ANIMAL CONTROL @ 915-842-1000,1001, OR 1002. OR YOU CAN CALL EPNRR @ 915-525-0261.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TRY TO CAPTURE OR HANDLE THE SNAKE.
KEEP CHILDREN AND PETS OUT OF THE AREA.
IF YOU HAVE BEEN BITTEN, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY. STAY CALM AND KEEP THE ENVENOMATED AREA LOWER THAN THE LEVEL OF YOU HEART IF POSSIBLE. IF A PICTURE CAN BE TAKEN SAFELY OF THE SNAKE, TAKE ONE SO THAT EMERGENCY ROOM PERSONNEL WILL HAVE A BETTER IDEA OF WHICH TOXINS THEY ARE DEALING WITH.
DO NOT WAIT TO CALL ANIMAL CONTROL OR EPNRR. WAITING SEVERAL HOURS AND THEN CALLING US TO REMOVE A SNAKE YOU CAN NO LONGER SEE MAKES FINDING THE SNAKE NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE.
AGAIN IF YOU HAVE BEEN BITTEN CALL 911, DO NOT CALL US.
